Grammar list For JLPT N3 exam (part1)
1.だらけ = Full Of …..
例えば:
泥だらけ covered in mood
この公園は、猫だらけだ。 This park is full of cats
この部屋はゴミだらけだ。This room is full of rubbish
2. おかげ = thanks to; owing to; because of ….
例えば:
彼女のおかげで、私は毎日幸せだ(しあわせだ) Because of her, I am happy everyday !
3. ように/ = just like/ just as/ Similar to something else/ In order to …
見えるように、このパソコンはとても古いですがまだ使われている
これはお茶のような味だ。 This tastes like tea
4. みたいだ = Mitaida = It seems like/ resembles……
彼は子供みたいに笑う。He laughs like a child. LOL. Kare wa kodomo mitai ni warau.
かわいいドレス！お姫様みたいだね。Cute dress! you look like a Princess (お姫様) ne !
この肉、チキンみたいだね。This meat tastes just like chicken huh :O…. Kono niku,ChiKen mitai da ne
コンピューターみたいに正確に計算できない。Oh i cant calculate like a computer ! Konpyuutaa mitai ni seikaku ni keisan dekinai.
5. Kurabete 比べる(くらべる) To compare with, compared to
Cats compared to dogs are smaller
きのうにくらべて、きょうはすこしさむいね。Compred to yesterday today is cold.
以前に比べて、彼の日本語は上手になった。Compared to before he’s japanese is better than before.
東京に比べて、大阪のほうが物価が安い. In comparison with Tokyo, Osaka prices are cheap
6. に対して (NI TAISHITE) Regarding, against, in contrast with
彼は女性に対しては優しい. He is kind towards her
私の先生は男の子に対して厳しいが、女の子に対しては優しい。watashi no sensei wa otokonoko ni taishite wa kibishii ga, onnanoko ni taishite wa yasashii. My teacher is strict with boys and soft with girls.
彼が考案したこのシステムに対して、すぐに抗議の声があがった. There was some resistance against he’s system.
8. たびにTabini (every time)
この曲を聞くたびに、家族を思い出す。kono kyoku o kiku tabi ni kazoku o omoidasu. Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of my family.
友人は旅行のたびにお土産を買ってきてくれます. Every time we travel i buy a souvenir.
9. 上げる 【あげる】(ageru). Meaning: to finish doing~.
この会社は新製品を作り上げた。kono kaisha wa shinseihin o tsukuri ageta
研究のレポートを⼀⽇で書き上げた。kenkyuu no repooto o ichinichi de kaki ageta
この粉を練り上げると、おいしい和菓⼦になります. kono kona o neri ageru to, oishii wagashi ni narimasu.
10. あまり (amari). Meaning: so much… that.
嬉しさのあまり、彼⼥は涙を流しました。ureshisa no amari, kanojo wa namida o nagashimashita
それのあまりの安さにおどろいた。sore no amari no yasusa ni odoroita
11. あまりにも (amari ni mo). Meaning: too much; so much…
最近あまりに暑すぎる。 saikin amari ni atsu sugiru.
彼はあまりにも変わった。 kare wa amari ni mo kawatta.
あまりにも疲れているので仕事ができない。 amari ni mo tsukareteiru no de shigoto ga dekinai.
12. 合う 【あう】(au). Meaning: do something together.
私たちはその件について話し合いましょう。
私たちはお互い助け合うべきだ。 watashi tachi wa otagai ni tasuke au beki da. We should help each other.
問題が起きたときは、どうすべきかみんなで話し合いましょう。 mondai ga okita toki wa, dou subeki ka minna de hanashi aimashou. Let’s discuss together with everyone on what we should do when a problem occurs
その⼆⼈はいつも競い合っている。 sono futari wa itsumo kisoi atteiru. Those 2 are always competing with each other
13.ばいい (ba ii). Meaning: should, can, it’d be good if.
どうすればいいですか︖ dou sureba ii desu ka. What should I do?
どこに⾏けばいいですか︖ doko ni ikeba ii desu ka? Where should I go?
私は何を⾔えばいいかわからない。 watashi wa nani o ieba ii ka wakaranai. I’m not sure what I should say.
何を歌えばいいですか。 nani o utaeba ii desu ka. What should I sing?
もう少し⾬が降ればいいな。 mou sukoshi ame ga fureba ii na. It’d be great if it rained a little bit more
どちらの⽅向へ進めばいいのか︖ dochira no houkou e susumeba ii no ka?. Which direction should I go?
新宿駅に⾏きたいんですが、どうやって⾏けばいいですか︖ shinjuku eki ni ikitain desu ga, dou yatte ikeba ii desu ka. I want to go to Shinjuku station, how do I get there?
14. ばよかった (ba yokatta). Meaning: should have; would have
傘を持ってくればよかった。 kasa o motte kureba yokatta. I should have brought an umbrella.
そうすればよかった。 sou sureba yokatta. I should have done that
早く連絡してくればよかったのに。 hayaku renraku shite kurereba yokatta noni. You should have contacted me earlier.
⼣べの番組は⾯⽩かった。あなたも⾒ればよかったのに。 yuube no bangumi wa omoshirokatta. anata mo mireba yokatta noni. The program last night was interesting. You should have watched it!
15. ば〜ほど (ba~hodo). Meaning: the more… the more.
ビートルズの⾳楽は聞けば聞くほど好きになります。 biitoruzu no ongaku wa kikeba kiku hodo suki ni narimasu. The more I listen to The Beetles, the more I end up liking their music
考えれば考えるほどわからなくなる。 kangaereba kangaeru hodo wakaranaku naru. The more I think about it, the less I understand.
勉強すればするほど、⽇本語が上⼿になりますよ。 benkyou sureba suru hodo, nihongo ga jouzu ni narimasu. The more you study, the better your Japanese will get
お⾦はあればあるほど安⼼です。 okane ga areba aru hodo anshin desu. The more money I have, the more safe I feel.
パソコンは操作が簡単なら簡単なほどいいです。 pasokon wa sousa ga kantan nara kantan na hodo ii desu. The easier the computer is to use the better. (操作 = operate, 簡単 = Katan/simple)
